Abstract
Contradictions and problems of Hadith are the most arguable research areas focused by Hadith scholars. They are dealing with the effect of determining the defect in Hadith, so, this study attempts to introduce and explain this effect. In the first resource, the researcher mentioned different important areas that are related to contradictions and problems in Hadith besides other defect related issues. However, in the second resource, the researcher explained the relationship between the science of contradictions in Hadith and its defect. This has been achieved by addressing the defect in Hadith text in general, and the defect of reasons behind contradictions and problems. After that, the researcher explained the rules of preferences between the problematic Hadith and its contradictions based on other Hadiths that confirm their meanings, preferring illusion of Hadith's tellers and their related stories, confirming Hadith over the denying one, and other rules with many examples. The researcher used the analytic descriptive approach in this study.
