Abstract

The current study aimed to show the requirements of establishing Interprograms according to the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030. A descriptive analysis was used in this study to analyze the Kingdom's vision for 2030. The study dealt with several factors, the concept of antiprograms based on the foundations laid out in the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030, and the requirements of establishing antiprograms in accordance with the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030. The study formulated a set of requirements for establishing antiprograms, exploring the concept of interoperability programs based on the foundations laid out in the Kingdom’s vision for 2030; creating an interface program according to the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030; and establishing interprograms, fulfilling requirements specific to the established objectives, meeting needs locally and globally, and solving professional problems that were not addressed by existing programs. A clear system and procedures will also be needed for following up and evaluating the educational process according to the academic accreditation system in the college to which the program is affiliated. Furthermore, reading materials and references for a program’s courses should clearly and prominently accommodate the common disciplines in the interdisciplinary program. In addition, the requirements specific to the program’s content should include creativity of thought, achieving integration, producing knowledge, and keeping pace with technological development besides providing any special requirements for the structure of the program. The program will be managed by a joint committee of departments contributing to the interprogram which will be responsible for their evaluation and performance in front of the dean supervising the program. Moreover, the number of the committee members should not be less than seven full-time faculty members to work in the departments contributing to the interprogram.
