Abstract
This study examined the degree of digital leadership with female public school principals in Dammam in the light of International Society for Technology in Education; and identified the barriers that detained female principals in Dammam from practicing the digital leadership from the perspective of female. A descriptive survey was administered to 180 female principals to tick an electronic questionnaire to collect data. The questionnaire was administered to the whole population of the study. The study sample consisted of 171 female principals, representing 95% of the study population. The study revealed that the degree of practicing the digital leadership was high in Dammam public schools; there were no statistically significant differences attributed to the variables of school level, academic qualification, and years of service; and there were statistically significant differences between the sample›s responses attributed to the number of digital technology development programs in favor of those with three or more digital technology development programs. In light of the findings, several recommendations were made, i.e. providing an adequate financial support for school principals to shift toward digital leadership; providing a school environment equipped with modern computers, labs, and communication networks as prerequisites for practicing digital leadership; and overcoming technology-related problems.
